Creating a paper trail of all of your documented events will disable those that bank on you not being able to remember specific details. The faintest ink is better than the best memory.
Use your camera on your phone to document everything.
If you feel that a crime is about to be committed, you won't get in trouble for eavesdropping.
DO NOT GIVE THE POLICE YOUR EVIDENCE! Refer them to the file sharing server or website that you have it available to the public on.
The police are not your friends and keep your camera on if they ask to talk to you. Do not talk to them and do a FOIA on their body cam. i.e. Lovelace v. Gibson.
